Domain Name Forwarding Administration

If you've already purchased domain forwarding and need some assistance setting it up, detailed instructions with screen shots are provide below. Use this link if you need to learn more about how Domain Name Forwarding works. NOTE: Even though the domain forwarding and masking services are free, you must have "purchased" it before you can setup your domain name to use the forwarding service. If you didn't do so at the time you registered your domain name, it will take less than 2 minutes to do any time. Log into the Domain Forwarding section of Manage My Account and use the link: "You have not purchased any domain forwarding accounts yet. Click here to purchase." Also, you must have "parked" your domain name on our servers in order to use domain forwarding. If you did so when you registered the domain name you'll have a "Coming Soon" page at your domain name after 48-72 hours. If you didn't, parking is free and very easily to do-- log into the Domain Names section of Manage My Account and clickon the Modify DNS text link in the blue menu bar. Then select "Use Default Parked NameServers". To setup Domain Forwarding: Log into the Domain Forwarding section of Manage My Account clickon Setup Forwarding - see screen shot below a. Select the domain name to forward from the drop down list b. Enter the URL address you want it forwarded to in the text box. Use the full address, ie: http://www.geocities.com/yourpagename c. Push Save Settings - see screen shot below We save this information right away, and you're forwarding will be setup and active within 15 minutes. If you also just now parked your domain name, we did this right away too; however it will take 48-72 hours for everything to become accessible because DNS changes of this nature take that long to propagate across the internet. You can change the url/page address that you forward your domain name to at any time. Clickon the Edit link - see screen shot below.
